Blue PE Conduit
Big Blue PE Conduit
BLUE PE & BIG BLUE PE CONDUIT:
Electron Beam’s Blue PE and Big Blue PE Conduits are designed for soft electrodes and mild steel electrode used at high deposition rates. These non-conductive conduits are lightweight, making them useful for many wire feeding applications.
CAPABILITIES/SPECIFICATIONS:
See chart at right for lengths. Fitting termination is easily applied by the distributor or end user by cutting to length with a sharp knife or razor and applying the appropriate bayonet.
Blue PE Conduit:
Recommended for use with soft solid welding electrodes up to 3/64” (1.2mm) diameter and other midrange mild steel electrodes. It is not recommended to bend it less than a 12” (30.5cm) radius. Tighter bends may result in increased wire drag and conduit wear.

Big Blue PE Conduit:
Recommended for use with soft solid welding electrodes up to 1/16” (1.6mm) diameter and other comparably sized mild steel electrodes. It is not recommended to bend it less than a 16” (40.6cm) radius. Tighter bends may result in increased wire drag and conduit wear.

BLUE PE & BIG BLUE PE CONNECTORS & ACCESSORIES

Blue PE and Big Blue PE Bayonets
Blue PE & Big Blue PE Bayonets
Thread directly onto the conduit. The bayonet cuts its own thread as it is twisted onto the conduit. Provides a strong, rapid connection to an extensive line of Connectors and Adaptor Kits.
Blue PE Compression Bayonet Assembly
Blue PE Compression Bayonet Assembly
Consists of a Ferrule, reusable Compression Nut, and Bayonet. The assembly slides over the conduit while wrenching to provide compressive retention. For rapid connection to an extensive line of Connectors and Adaptor Kits.
ERC Connector and ERC Bayonet
ERC® Connector with Optional ERC® Bayonet:
Provides compressive retention to Big Blue PE Conduit, giving a bayonet connection. This combination provides rapid connection to an extensive line of Connectors and Adaptor Kits. Without the optional bayonet, a 1/2” NPT male connection is exposed for custom connection.

Blue PE and Big Blue PE Conduits and Bayonets

Cutaway of Blue PE Conduit
These conduits are easily cut to length with a sharp knife or razor.

NON-METALLIC CORE:
Made from high density polyethylene with outstanding mechanical properties and inherent lubricity. No metal core is used in the manufacture of these conduits which is ideal for obtaining x-ray quality welds. Especially useful when welding with aluminum or other exotics, as no metal is available to contaminate the weld. The hard polymer interior reduces drag and promotes smooth feeding.

Strain Relief (Uninstalled)
Strain Relief Installed on QCC-HD Conduit

Add a Strain Relief and QCI Insulator:

A Strain Relief reinforces heavily flexed areas of the conduit and terminations where repetitive flexing may be an issue. Strain Relief may be factory installed or added during your installation and is available in a 1-3/32” (27.7mm) I.D. x 12” (0.3m) and 48” (1.21m) lengths.

QCI Insulator

Slide the QCI Insulator over any exposed metal connection to reduce the possibility of short circuits and shock hazards.
